On December 16, Taiziling Ski Resort in Jiuding Mountain opened to tourists, attracting many to its snowy slopes.

Jiuding Mountain is located in Nanxin Town, Maoxian County. Its beautiful scenery, rich vegetation and fresh air beckons many visitors. It has been selected as one of the top ten “non-famous" mountains by China National Geography. The region is known to enjoy rhododendron in spring, cool breeze in summer, a colourful autumn and a snow cover in winter.

Taiziling Ski Resort in Jiuding Mountain has three primary tracks, with a total length of 480 meters; two Intermediate tracks, with a total length of 300 meters; three Advanced tracks with a total length of 2700 meters; and five play tracks with a total length of 740 meters.

Taiziling Ski Resort has held a number of professional high-level skiing competitions, drawing skiing enthusiasts from China and across the world to participate. Every year, it provides skiing experience to tens of thousands of people as well as helps inculcates the sports spirit into Chinese families so that more people can enjoy skiing.

Maoxian County is located in the southeast edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the northwest of Sichuan Province and the southeast of Aba Prefecture. It crosses the upper reaches of Minjiang River and Fujiang River. Its landform is mainly high mountains and canyons. The terrain is inclined from northwest to southeast. It experiences plateau monsoon climate. It features Jiuding Mountain, ancient Qiang city in China, Black Tiger Qiang Village and other tourist attractions.(By Edina Liang)
